Avocados get a lot of love on my blog and they certainly get a lot of love when I make my homemade guacamole. The great thing about making your own guacamole is that you can personalise it to your taste and preference. For instance, I like mine with diced red onions because it adds a little kick and I don't like my guacamole entirely smooth in texture. So I'd definitely suggest omitting and adding things based on your preference, but this here is my preferred method!

This guac goes perfectly with my chicken fajita recipe, but you could just as easily load it up on some nachos for a movie night snack!

Ingredients:

2 ripe or overripe Avocados

1 Lime

Quarter of a Tomato

Eighth of a Red Onion

1/4 tsp Smoked Paprika

1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/4 tsp White Pepper

A pinch of sea salt

Coriander

Method:

  • Slice up the avocados into small chunks. This will make it easier to mash.

  • Mash using a fork or potato masher in a bowl to your desired consistency. I like mine with a little chunk to it.

  • Finely dice your tomato, red onions, and coriander (both stalks and leaves) and mix into the guacamole.

  • Squeeze in the juice of a lime - adding more or less according to your preference - and mix thoroughly.

  • Add the sea salt, paprika, cayenne, and white pepper and taste to adjust.
